Import Import is the command that allows you to keep files on the same Advisor's orders on two computers without re-entering data. The program is able to recognize those records that have been changed and make the adjustments accordingly. Click on File then Utilities then Import Orders. The Open dialog will appear. Change drives and directories if necessary to find the Export file you wish to import. Highlight the file, then click to select. Click on OK. BOOKS™ will import the data for you. Note that you must have already entered the Advisor using the Add a Advisor command to import data for that advisor.
Importing Home Office Data Importing Home Office Data is the same as importing any Export file, with one exception. If your Home Office Data disk says that it contains Compressed data, you will have to expand the data before importing. If you receive a compressed disk, your Home Office liaison will include directions for expanding the data with the diskette.
