Tracking Your Orders

Keeping track of your orders isn't difficult when you only do a few orders a day, but as your clientele grows you may find yourself so rushed and hurried that your desk has become a drift of pink and yellow tickets. You become unsure which orders have been executed and which are still pending. Also, if you take positions in certain stocks, you may need to write many orders for one security at one time, and that is usually done in a rush.

will soon see that BOOKS™ will really come to your rescue. Write your first order on the screen, then simply click on Another, change the account number and quantity, click on Another, etc. You can write 20 order tickets in full in less than one minute.
You are in Control. Everything in BOOKS is based upon the order ticket written by the Advisor. Once an order is entered into BOOKSä, that data never has to be written again, but additional data can be added to the record, it can be checked, matched with its confirm, exported to the Branch Manager, approved by the Branch Manager, and printed on the daily buy and sell blotters with only minimal additional keystrokes. BOOKS™ handles orders for all kinds of securities - stocks, bonds,

mutual funds, unit investment trusts, variable annuities, and even life insurance.
The general order ticket is flexible enough for most investments and insurance, and there is a special ticket for mutual funds. Any order you enter on a ticket will print on the appropriate blotter - buy, sell, or cash. In and Out tickets print on the Buy and Sell blotters. In tickets are for recording Cash or Securities delivered into the account, and Out tickets are used for recording cash or securities delivered out of the account.

To keep you from making costly errors, you will note that Sell order has a bright cherry red background.  Buy orders are light gray. You can see the status of an order instantly on the Main View screen. The first column of

Make Taking Reports
Easier

After using OverDrive to take as any reports as possible, Click on View Open Ordes on the View Menu to show only your open orders.  Makes finding your direct orders and called in orders much faster!

Make Matching Confirms Easier
Use OverDrive to take Confirms on orders you entered with it. Then, Click on View Unconfirmed on the View Menu. You will see any orders that were not confirmed by OverDrive.

How to Enter an Order Regardless of the type of security, the procedure for entering an Order is the same. Even if you are simply recording a check in or out of the account, you go about it in the same way. If at any point you have difficulty with entering an order, just press Escape repeatedly until you are returned to the Main View Screen.
