Discount Field
If you are giving a discount on this order, you can type in the percentage discount in this field. Do not use the decimal equivalent of the discount -- just type the percent as an integer. For example, for a 10% discount, type 10 NOT .10. If you fill in a discount in this field, the Commission Calculator for stocks will compute the dollar amount of commission for you when you invoke it by pressing Ctrl+C.  Click here for

Commission field

Type the commission amount in this field, or use the Commission Calculator for stock trades by pressing Ctrl+C. If you leave this field blank, and do not check the None box to the right, BOOKS™ will assume that you received the standard commission for your firm as calculated by the commission calculator when computing your Gross Commissions.

Included in Price check box
Check this box if you are doing a principal trade and the commission is included in the price.  This most often occurs on OTC stock orders, Unit Investemnt Trust,  Bond and Preferred Stock orders.
Net Amount Field

This field is there for your convenience, but compliance regulations do not require that it be filled. You can fill in it when you get the confirm, or on a stock order, you can use the commission calculator and paste in the Net Amount (How to use the Commission  Calculator is described later in this section.). On bond orders, the trader may give you the net amount when you buy. Also, you can check the box below the Order Entry data to indicate whether the price shown includes the commission.
At this point, if this is the only order you are placing, and you call in your orders, you may want to pick up the phone and call in the order. If you are placing several orders, or if you give your orders to a clerk, you can press Ctrl + Enter or click on OK to exit the Order Entry Screen or click on the Another button to fill out another order.

None field

Check this box if there is no commission on the trade. Otherwise, if the Commission field is left blank, BOOKS™ will assume the standard commission for your firm as computed by the commission calculator.

Fees field

On some wrap and other accounts, there is a transaction fee that per trade that is not a commission, but which gets added to the cost of a buy or deducted from the proceeds of a sell. This type of fee can be entered in this box, and will not be added
