The View Sort by Account command will group all orders for one account together, allowing you to see the status of that person's orders. If you want to see all of the accounts for a person together, choose View by Name, and you will get their regular account, IRA and other accounts together.
Check Open orders
You can check on open orders two ways. You can use the View Open Orders command on the View menu, which will display on screen all open orders you have pending, or you can use the Print Open Orders command from the Print menu if you wish to have hard copy. To return to your normal Main View Screen after Viewing Open Orders, choose View All Orders.
Track Short orders
By their very nature, you want to keep a sharp eye on any short sales that you have made for clients. Use the View Short orders command to see a list of your short orders on screen. Use View All Orders to return to your Normal Main View Screen.
Control Confirms
You can check on Unconfirmed orders easily by choosing View Unconfirmed. The View Unconfirmed list will be sorted in the same order as your View All Orders screen was. You can use the View Sorted by ... commands to put it in whatever order you wish. This is the screen to use when matching confirms. You can use the Find an Order Command to locate a particular order.
Viewing Customer Positions On-Screen
The View Executed Command on the View Menu removes canceled and open orders from your screen. This uncluttered screen is ideal when you want to look at a client's positions on screen, as only executed orders and balance records will be shown. (If you are seeing any Balance Records that have a Zero quantity, use the File Utilities Cleanup command to remove them.)
