Server Master File and Separate Files for Each Advisor on the Advisor's Computer

This configuration requires a Network, either Windows NT or Novell.  It will work on a peer-to-peer network as well, but if your traffic is heavy, you may find that a NT network with server will work better for you, as peer-to-peer networks can bog down with too much traffic.
This configuration is recommended for large or medium offices or small brokerage or investment advisory firms as the program will respond more quickly

This configuration assumes a basic knowledge of Windows and networks.  If you are unsure, contact your BOOKS liaison at your home office. This configuration will provide easy administration and fast response no matter how large your office grows. It is important to use the exact directory structure shown so that the replication engine can find your data.
Each terminal in the office is connected to a  file server.  We will assume the file server is mapped as drive
F as seen from each terminal.  Use the appropriate drive letter below if your configuration differs. Create the following directory structure on the server:
