Too many Fonts: Having too many fonts loaded can also cause problems. To eliminate unnecessary fonts. open the Windows folder and then the Fonts folder, then highlight the icons for the unnecessary fonts. Click on File, then delete.  Brown & Overton recommends that you copy the font files that you plan to eliminate to a floppy disk before deleting, just in case you might need them later.  Certain fonts that you may think unnecessary are used for display purposes by certain programs  and cannot be eliminated.
If you cannot open BOOKS: Run the ToolKit, another program included with your BOOKS software.  Toolkit helps you repair your data.

The BOOKS™ Toolkit is a program designed to help you if your BOOKS™ program is not working correctly, due to a power failure or other unpredictable event. The Toolkit is a stand alone program, separate from the BOOKS™ program, named TOOLKIT.EXE, and it is automatically installed in your BOOKS™directory along with BOOKS™.
To access the Toolkit, go to the start menu, open the BOOKS folder, and click on Toolkit to start. You must close BOOKS before running Toolkit.
