No special program is required for a multiple floppy disk backup, and BOOKS even prompts the user with what to write on the label of each diskette. To keep you in compliance, warnings will appear if you attempt to go more than one week without backing up your data. Built-In Commission Calculator will compute commissions and discounts for you using a built-in commission formula similar to that at most firms. (Customized commission schedules are available at the firm level.) Check Box for Net Trades adjusts accordingly when you check that a commission is included in the price on your order ticket. Security Type BOOKS™ for Windows has a field for security type on the order ticket and in the security record. Types include Stock, Bond, Cash, CMO, UIT, Mutual Fund, Limited Partnership, Art/Collectibles, Real Estate, Personal Property, Option, Long-Term Option, Futures Contract, Annuity and Life Insurance Contract. Security type currently will cause certain fields to be automatically added to your order ticket that pertain to that type of security.
In/Out Order Ticket lets you keep track of assets delivered in or sent out including cash and securities. Online Manual Makes Finding Information Easy The On-line manual supplied with BOOKS can be stored right on the user's computer in HTML format, the standard language of the Internet. Any Internet browser can be used to view the manual, whether the user has an Internet hookup or not. In offices with a network, the Manual file can be stored on a pulbic drive and viewed by users as needed. In addition, the manual is posted on the Brown & Overton website at www.BrownandOverton.com/manual.html and can be viewed there.
