Installing OverDrive
Before installing OverDrive, your back office access, order entry access (if you plan to use OverDrive™ to enter your BOOKS™ stock and mutual fund orders) and the Rumba® terminal emulator program must be installed. Call the computer liaison support team of your broker-dealer to obtain the download page address and passsword for the version that your broker-dealer is using or if you have questions. Download OverDrive™ from the appropriate www.advisortools.com download page. When asked if you want to save the file or open the file, check save. Make a note of the directory into which your browser copies the file. To install this or any later version of OverDrive, your computer must be running Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT. Close any programs that you may have running. Click on My Computer, then on the drive and the directory into which your browser downloaded the file. Double-click on the file. The installation process will start. Type in the password when requested and click OK. If during installation you get a message "One or more Visual Basic applications are running...", you must switch to each Visual Basic application that is running (using Alt+Tab) and terminate it. The most commonly encountered such program is WSResmon, the Pulse-2000 Windows® Resource Monitor. Then switch back to the Setup screen, select "OK" , and the installation will proceed. If this is the first time that you have installed OverDrive™, you will be asked if you wish to overwrite the RJ.MAP file in your Rumba directory. This is the Rumba configuration file, and must be modified to allow OverDrive™ to access information. Say yes. Your old RJ.MAP file will be renamed as RJ.OLD, so it can be recovered. (If this is not the first time you have installed OverDrive™, your RJ.MAP file has probably already been modified. If not, the OverDrive Install program copies the revised RJ.MAP file into your OverDrive directory, so it is simple to copy it into the Rumba directory.) When the OverDrive™ setup is complete, restart your system so that the settings established during installation will take effect. To complete the installation, start OverDrive™ by double-clicking on its icon.
Continued on Next Page. You will see a screen that says "Please Enter Your Setup Information". Click on OK, and the OverDrive™ setup screen is displayed:
