your orders were entered correctly:
In the Orders menu, select Order Status Reports, then click on Today's Orders. OverDrive™ will query the order entry system, and make a list on the NotePad of all orders that were entered today.
In the Orders menu, click on
Monitor Orders. OverDrive™ searches the order entry system and displays a list of all orders entered today and all open orders from previous days. As orders are executed, the Order Monitor also displays execution information.
Warning: If a stock order you placed today is not displayed on the order status report or on the Order Monitor, it was not entered successfully.
If you leave the Order Monitor running, it will periodically and automatically scan for changes in the status of your orders and update its display accordingly. The Order Monitor also includes a Print command to produce a hard-copy order status report. From this report, you can get execution information to enter on your BOOKS™ ticket even if the order was not entered through OverDrive.
Taking Reports
To get reports on stock orders that you have entered through OverDrive, click on Orders, then Take Reports.  A spreadsheet-style form will be displayed with all your open orders.  As OverDrive checks the RJ Order Entry System for your reports, you will see the result of the search appear for each order.  When OverDrive as completed searching, the Cancel button will turn back to gray from red.  At that point, you have an opportunity to inspect your reports and check against your quote system if something that you think should have been executed is not yet done.  Once you are through with your inspection, click on OK and the reports will be posted into BOOKS automatically.
Match Confirms
After your orders are executed, you will want to check that the record in the back office agrees with your ticket.  Click on Orders, then Match Confirms, and OverDrive will bring up a spreadsheet-style form from your BOOKS records, showing all orders that have not yet been confirmed.  OverDrive then searches the OOI system and places the confirmation report in the spreadsheet line under the line that shows the information from the BOOKS ticket.  You now can compare the record at Raymond James to your record from BOOKS by visual inspection.
Once you have inspected the orders, if they all match, click on OK and OverDrive will write the transaction number on your BOOKS ticket to show that you have compared your records to the back office.  In addition, if you have checked this option, OverDrive will post the net amount of the trade and the commission to your BOOKS ticket. If there is any discrepancy, you can print the confirm report without posting and use it to call trading and check on your order.
Mutual Fund Orders
Mutual fund orders in BOOKS™, are transmitted by OverDrive™ to the Mutual Fund Trading Desk through the Correspondence System rather than the Order Entry System. Therefore, they do not appear on the Orders Monitor. You should call the Mutual Fund Trading Desk if you are not sure that a mutual fund order was transmitted correctly.
Since mutual fund orders are transmitted through the correspondence system, you do not need to be authorized for wire order entry to use OverDrive™ to enter your mutual fund orders.
Order Confirmation Reports
OverDriveÔ produces two reports useful for tracking confirms, the Confirm Summary Report and the Confirm Detail Report. OverDriveÔ assembles these reports by accessing the payroll system. Information is available for several months.
The
Confirm Summary Report is an easy way to match confirms, and to ensure that proper credit has been given for wrap fees and trails. Note: because OverDriveÔ must read a very large number of back-office-system screens to assemble these reports, they take some time to produce.
